What we check, exactly

The domain tested against domain lists, and the IP addresses of both the site and the mail servers against address lists.
Each list probed with its own test entry before being believed: a dead list would tell everyone that all is well.
The SPF record analysed: missing, duplicated, too many lookups, or ending in a “+all” that authorizes the entire internet.
The DMARC policy read and judged: “none” observes without protecting, “quarantine” and “reject” genuinely turn impersonation away.
The delisting link attached to the alert, for the list concerned — not a generic link to hunt down.
